Chris cleave is a British novelist who is widely accepted as a promising writer around the world. He was born in 1973.

His first novel Incendiary was published in 2005 and won Somerset Maugham award and short listed for the 2006 common wealth Writer’s prize.

LITTLE BEE is a well known novel which  is a New York Times #1 bestseller with over 2 million copies in print and more than 90 editions till now. This novel circles around two characters Little bee and Sarah. The odd chapters are seen from Little Bee’s point of view, while the even chapters are told through Sarah’s point of view. 

The other hand based on his memories and incidents happened in Cameroon, North Africa where he spend his childhood. This novel will be adapted into a film starring Nicole Kidman.

Another novel “Gold” also noted for its bold and brave nature of story telling.

His famous short stories are “Quiet Time”, “Fresh Water”, and “Oyster”.
